Certainly the Tourbillon is the real eyecatcher in this watch - but what is a Tourbillon ?

This is the explanation - source is copywright Wikipedia:

"In horology, a tourbillon is an addition to the mechanics of a watch escapement. Developed around 1795 by the French-Swiss watchmaker Abraham-Louis Breguet from an earlier idea by the English chronometer maker John Arnold, a tourbillon aims to counter the effects of gravity by mounting the escapement and balance wheel in a rotating cage, to negate the effect of gravity when the timepiece (and thus the escapement) is stuck in a certain position.
Originally an attempt to improve accuracy, tourbillons are still included in some expensive modern watches as a novelty and demonstration of watchmaking virtuosity. The mechanism is usually exposed on the watch's face to show it off."

Along with the minute repeater (sound mechanism like a church tower clock), the tourbillon is considered the most complex complication in mechanical watches!

The screwed sapphire crystal back also provides a view of the skeletonized and decorated movement.

The 24-hour display at position "9" can be set separately using the crown - so it can be used as a second time zone!

The small dial at position "3" is a day and night display!

With watchbox  and brown Poljot International crocodile leather strap (certified).
