Red Star Retro Chronograph Seagull ST19

I discovered this watch on my watch trip to China in April 2025!

This exceptional chronograph is based on the design of Montres Codhor of Sarcelles, France – this small watch manufacturer introduced this chronograph in 1970 and is considered one of the pinnacles of 1970s design!

What's special about it: two atypical shapes are not harmonious, but rather in conflict with each other – the tonneau case and the diamond-shaped dial. This clash of shapes is fascinating.

Stainless steel case with a diameter of 41mm x 45mm; 20mm lug width and 5 ATM water resistance.

Diamond-shaped acrylic crystal – slightly raised (replacement crystals are available upon request).

Screw-down crystal case back.

This version with white dial comes with BLACK leather strap!

This watch features the Seagull No. ST19 mechanical column-wheel chronograph caliber with manual winding, approximately 45 hours of power reserve, 21.600 vibrations per hour, shock protection, and 21 jewels.

With swan-neck fine adjustment!

This caliber is elaborately decorated by Red Star in Shenzhen with a polished finish, red chronograph wheel, and Red Star engraving.

Seagull in Tianjin acquired the production facilities from Venus in Switzerland in the 1960s, and this special caliber is therefore identical to, or rather the successor to, the legendary Venus 150 column-wheel caliber!

Using the upper pusher, you can start and stop the 30-minute counter of the stopwatch function, and using the lower pusher, you can reset the stopwatch to "0." You can wind the watch all the way – accidentally overwinding the watch is impossible.

These watches undergo extensive ISO9001-certified quality control at the manufacturer. Upon receipt, they are thoroughly inspected again by us here in Munich and adjusted if necessary. We also carefully test each watch again before shipping.

Of course, you receive a 2-year warranty, and we also offer a cost-effective repair service using original spare parts for watches purchased from us. These watches are also maintenance-free and do not require servicing every few years.
