A  very classic watch - with the very  rare and special decorated Molnija 3603 pocket watch caliber! ( a russian version of the famous UNITAS caliber )

This Molnija ( russian "молния" for "Flash" )  Classic 43mm has a polished, well designed and solid stainless steel case  ( weights 80 grams)  with 43mm diameter ( with crown 47mm and lug to lug width 53mm) , with a slightly curved , hardened mineral glass, 20mm bandwidth width and easy to use riffled crown.

The screwed crystal back shows  the beautiful and rare Molnija  manual winding caliber 3603. This caliber is decorated with Streiffenschliff and blued screws  -it features  18 jewels, 18.000 halfrotations/hour,  Breguet balance spring, a power reserve of approximately 42 hours and a shock protection.

Unfortunately, this robust and beautiful decorated  caliber is no longer in production , so it gets very rare nowadays.

This rare Molnija caliber 3603 comes from the Molnija factory in Chelyabinsk , Ural, which today successfully produces pocket watch movements and precision devices for aircraft and military vehicles.  The Molnija watch factory was founded in Ural at the beginning of WW2, as the russian watch industry which was concentrated in Moscow, was decentralized  for strategic security reasons.

The classic silver riffled/guilloched dial shows well readable black arabic numbers and black hands. Small second at position "9".
