Poljot International Moscow Nights Chronograph Nr. 2901.1940662.
The detailed watch case is made of massive redgold plated ( 11 micron! ) stainless steel. It has a diameter of 43 mm , 13mm height and is very comfortable to wear on the wrist.
The slightly curved glass is made of sapphire glass and the watch has a 20 mm bandwidth at a weight of 85 grams.
Very nice view through the screwed crystal back = the mechanical ST2901 manual winding caliber with column wheel chronograph function, 45 hours power reserve, 21.600 halfrotations / hour and shock protection.
This caliber is particularly beautifully decorated with stripes refinement and blued screws - this caliber is the same / the successor of the legendary Venus 3017 column wheel caliber! This caliber has already powered the first Russian chronographs of Sekonda / Poljot in the 60ies!
The very special black dial of this Moscow Nights shows very good readable and strongly luminous arabic green numbers and luminous hands, as well as redgold plated stop second and stop minute hands - this watch is very good readable also in the dark !
Why is this watch called Moscow Nights? The song of the "Moscow nights", to which this watch is dedicated , entered the "Guinness Book of Records" as the most frequently sung song in the world. It is heard in India in all local dialects, in the distant Nigeria in the old Haussa language and in foggy Copenhagen, the seafarers shouted words of this song to greet. The catchy melody and the heartfelt words made it a business card of Russia.
This Moscow Nights comes with Poljot International watch case, as well as with a special leather band.
